Hello Truckee (2nd leg of our trip)

Jen and her family had to take off early the next morning after the tasting in Sacramento. We were hoping to visit with them as well as Auntie Diane and Uncle David the day after the event. We had a few days before Rob's sister, Trish, and her family from Lousiana, were arriving in Merced, so we decided to go over to Truckee before heading down to Merced. Jen and John were gracious enough to entertain my "hair-brain" last minute idea of coming to visit. We spent a couple of lovely days in Truckee and we hope to go back soon. It was too short!

We had a little mix up with directions and ended up going 50 East and through South Lake Tahoe on the way there. Rob was thinking about taking this route on the way to Merced. It was a good thing we "road tested" this route on the way there when we weren't going very far. It was a bit longer but, beautiful and we enjoyed the ride. We took in the sights and sang some good old fashion road songs as you can see from the picture and video clip.

When we got home I made sure to set hers up for her.

John and Rob talk about the construction of the house John and his Dad are building for the family while giving the babes bottles. Okay, John is feeding Jacob and Rob is trying to coax Mackenzie into doing the same. Mackenzie has been reluctant about taking a bottle. It is hit and miss with her.

John has a jeep which he has painted and has done all up like Spiderman. They refer to the vehicle as "Spidey." Steven is really getting into superheros and one of his favorites is Spiderman. So of course, when Steven saw "Spidey" in the garage he was beside himself. John took the guys for a short little ride over to the construction site of the house. Steven did not want to get out. He would have slept in it if we would have let him.

Here's a good picture of the house during the day. I can't wait to see it when it is all complete. The house is being built on a beautiful scenic lot.
